Its Been a Long Time....My little Catch Up....

Well where do I start...its been ages since I managed to get any blogging done or card making for that matter...Work has taken over my life at the minute...I was meant to be working two and half days a week but that just hasnt happened and been working almost full time...Its sad that families end up in the care of social work but at the end of the day its the children that are the most important people to us...I have recently been in the most horrible situation where I had to accompany 3 children to a place of safety, but I went to visit them this week and wow what a transformation these small children have blossomed under the care of the foster carers...I knew at that point that the right decision had been made to remove them from home...anyways I'm getting sidetracked and getting things off my chest...BUT...on to my family and what they have been up to...Barry is still playing footie and working hard he's off on his hols at the end of the month....Jamie's apprenticeship is going well and he starts college for a few weeks at the end of the month, he is learning to drive and is busy looking for a car...he went off on his first holiday 'with the lads' to Portugal and had the time of his life...It feels like Grant has moved into the golf club as he spends most of his days and evenings there.lol...better than out roaming the streets though...its been his 1st season competing and he was 3rd in the clubs open competition and has reduced his handicap from 27 to 15...all gobeldygook to me but some of you may understand.lol...He goes back to school on Tuesday so off out to get the last bits and bobs this weekend...thats a chore and a half because he hates shopping and is sooooo fussy...got to buy him some summer clothes for going on holiday in October and I know now its going to be a couple of double vodkas for me after we have done the rounds of all the shops.lol...Ronnie has finished his course at college and graduates in November...he has passed with flying colours and I am soooo proud of him....awwww...Anyways enough of my waffling...hoping to catch up and get round a few blogs and make some cards tomorrow before I have to go on a team building day on Friday....not my kind of thing but better show willing.lol...Meant to be a BBQ at the beach! It might rain and we have to go to the pub instead.lol...
Hope you are all well and the summer has been bright and sunny wherever you are in blog land...

Hugs

Dare You To Digi Stamp Challenge 3

OOOOPS missed the deadline for challenge 2 but as it happens the same card can be used for both, challenge 2 was pink and green, challenge 3 is 'THINGS WITH WINGS' so here is the card I made for challenge 2 but I must have been psycic because it also has wings so I can use it to enter challenge 3....waffling again.lol...heres what I used...

Fairydragon digi stamp from Victoria Case, she has some lovely images and her work well worth a look.
Coloured using promarkers...finally getting the hang of them I think...
B/G is a digi download from Raspberry Road...theres some really lush papers there...
Nestie small scallop run through the swiss dots cuttlebug folder...
The ribbon was a freebie from a magazine, Sentiment was from the lovely Kay who sent me some fabby goodies this week...rubbed some chalk over to match the nestie circle...
The bling flowers are from one of the docrafts boxes of gems...

hope you like it and thanks for looking....hugs Jackie xx
