Creative Card Crew Challenge...48...Happy Birthday...

Well here I am again rushing at the last minute to get a card entered into a challenge...been trying to get to the computer all day but family life has just taken over...roll on May coz April been one of those months...its my son's 18th Birthday tomorrow but after a head butt at the weekend while playing footie he has been getting emergency dental treatment today so have been playing nurse maid...so the birthday meal has been put on hold until he feels better...my eldest son's g/f has been on holiday in Japan was meant to be home last Friday so he's pinning for her to return but it looks like he's gonna have a few more days to wait in the mean time he is going about like a bear with a sore head.lol...All these drama's as if I dont have enough of my own.lol...anyways onto my card...

The card was for an order, I had to make two for twin girls but will keep the onther one to show another time...I decided to enter it into the Creative Card Crew Challenge

The brief was they had to be the same but different.lol...one with pink and one with green and had to be 'Hello Kitty'...

For this one I used...

Pink papermania background papers and the white, oragne pink and green one was a bargain at a craft show I went to but go no idea of the brand...

'Hello Kitty' was printed from a colouring page I found online...the dress, bow and drink were paperpieced with some gemstones cardstock from docrafts, the dots are peel offs...After cutting it out I ran it through the xyron machine then glittered it to make it mega sparkly...

The sentiment was a free download from the lovely Paula over at Pollycraft Designs I printed it onto the same gemstones card...

The name was printed from the Crafters Companion Kids Collection CD ROM Twin Set some punched out flowers to bring the name to life...

The fab and blingy charm I bought at a stall in town just couldnt resist getting it, I threaded it through some velvet ribbon from stash...

Added some brads from stash and cut the small kitty's from another download from internet...I made the easel card and added a little extra in the back...a couple of bookmarks that I printed off from the internet...

the feedback was great, the customer was really happy and most of all the girls loved their cards...look out for the other one in the near future...

Must go and get Jamie's birthday cards finished...at the last minute as usual.lol

Thank you for looking...

Phindy's Place Challenge...Love Birds Bookatrix...

Hi, hope you have all enjoyed your weekend...mine has been eventful...but thought would forget all about it and do some crafting whilst I cant sleep...couldnt concentrate on that so blogging it is instead.lol...

Have made a few cards over the last days that thought could enter some of them into challenges...so here goes!!!

My 1st offering is a ruby wedding bookatrix that I made for an order(for a new customer)...I have given it to her and she she loved it...I seem to make quite alot of these and get a bit fed up and run out of ideas what to do but sshhhh dont tell anyone.lol...

Completed bookatrix with stand

On the front pages...a Digi dowload called Love Birds its from Phindy's Place she has a fab collection of stamps so if you dont want to spend dont look.lol...I coloured the birds and flowers with promarkers and finished with a dab of glossy accents here and there...backed the image with a heart made with card from my stash, using the clebrations embossing board from the glitter girls, I ran it through the swiss dots embossing folder for cuttlebug...the red heart is made in the same way and decorated with peel offs...the background card is pretty doodles download from Pink Petticoat...ribbon and gems from stash

The back pages again using the Pink Petticoat download...A duffex die cut decoupage from my local craft shop, the sentiment printed from the computer and cut using oval scallop nesties and run through my cuttlebug again, the gorgeous flowers were from my stash, think I picked them up in The Works and Hobbycraft...I stuck them using silicone glue and OH BOY! did I suffer from a headache so got online the next day and stocked up on the pinflair glue gel...does the same job with NO smell...gems are papermania ones...just another one of those essentials that I cant live without...

The box is made with...Red card from stash, I stamped the lid with Inkadinkado Clear Stamps - Artistic Flourish stunning stamps bought again at a local craft shop, stamped using a versamark ink pad and then heat embossed with clear gloss embossing powder, I used the illusion board from the glitter girls and for once I managed to get the perfect box...unusual for me cause I often have to chop a bit off here and there.lol...the boquet of flowers I bought many moons ago from a seller on ebay...arent they just adorable so realistic with the florists celo wrapped round them...decorated with ribbon from stash...made a border using Martha Stewart Valentine Lace edger punch...stuck the cut out hearts to add some dimension, sentiment is from the duffex die cut set...

hope you like it and thanks for looking...

Crafty Catz Challenge, Sweet Stampin Challenge and Moving Along With The Times Challenge...

Finally got round to posting a card for some challenges...have been so busy making family birthday cards that I have not had time to get many pics done of them...hopefully will get some of them in later...

This card is one for an order and I am entering it into the
Crafty Catz Challenge
Sweet Stampin Challenge
Moving Along With The Times Challenge

Think I have followed the brief for all the above challenges...

The background papers have been in my stash for what seems like forever and not seen the light of day(sound familiar girls) and is The English Paper Company Garden Collection...

The image is a cutie isnt she...she's is called Audrey and is fromThe Stamping Boutique. I coloured her using promarkers...

The 'goodies' border was a freebie from Phindy's Place over at papercraft planet. I printed it onto some kraft paper that again I found in my stash, once again coloured with promarkers and added some glossy accents to the berries...

I made the flowers using all of the papers with the xcut retro flower punch blinged up with some flowers from papermania and adhesive stones from the pound shop...pearls from stash were also coloured using promarkers...

Daughter sentiment from craftwork cards...

Ticket Birthday sentiment was a free download from the internet many moons ago...

Thanks for looking...off to get some more cards made for son's birthday next Tuesday and also got some orders to finish...hope you are all fine and dandy in blogland wherever you are...

Hugs Jackie xx
